Minerva, I've just been in conference with Mafalda Hopkirk on the sighting in Hogsmeade this evening. We were informed by Crockford that the girl's interrogation was routine. Nonetheless, Mafalda has asked and I have agreed on behalf of the Governors that Mr Marvolo ought to be kept within the grounds for the time being. Crockford is moving the Dementors closer to the village and given the boy's reaction on the train, it would be doubly wise for him to remain within the protection of the castle.

Raz, Crockford also reports a certain pamphlet that was recovered in the village, which he'll pass on to Barty's team. More prognostication of Marvolo's untimely demise. Keep him close if you please.

Of course I'll keep him close, even though he's making it very it clear that he resents me for it.

Indeed. I detect a note of sullenness in my son, as well, though he has elected to martyr himself to keep Harry company.

If we can just keep them alive and sound until they emerge from their teens, I think we shall have succeeded at a minor miracle.

Harry's being sour with everyone and so it's making Draco sour, too. It's on the verge of making me sour, but I haven't lost my rag yet. Though maybe I ought to. That'd certainly get their attention, wouldn't it?

Can't blame them too much, though, they just want to be able to do the things the other kids do. I expect they're not going to thank us for this until their both thirty-five, though.
